07/19/10 Governor Pawlenty appoints Schneeman to Health Care Reform Task Force
SevenHills Partners, Inc. President, Christopher Schneeman,
has been appointed to the Minnesota Health Care Reform Task Force.This fourteen member task force was created
in the 2010 legislative session and is charged with studying the implementation
of the new federal health care law, and issuing a report and recommendations to
the legislature in December 2010. Schneeman fulfills the required appointment
of a business community person “who has demonstrated leadership in employer and
group purchasing activities”.
The task force will provide guidance on a wide range of
topics; including the role and timing of insurance exchanges in Minnesota,
the advisability of expanding medical assistance early and applications for
demonstration projects and grants.
Schneeman said, “I am proud of Minnesota’s
national leadership in delivering high quality and low cost care, and am
honored to participate in the future shaping of Minnesota’s
health care marketplace.”
